Here’s a list of books that have helped me cultivate Spiritual growth in my life. I recommend all the books on this page.
The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence
Brother Lawrence (c. 1614 – 12 February 1691) was a lay brother in a Carmelite monastery, who is today most commonly remembered for the closeness of his relationship to God as recorded in the classic Christian text, The Practice of the Presence of God.
This is the definitive collection covering the life and ministry of John G. Lake.
Lake was a missionary and pastor, attended the Azusa Street Revival, and was used greatly by God for the healing of countless thousands.
The Heavenly Man by Brother Yun
This is the intensely dramatic story of how God took a young, half-starved boy from a poor village in Henan Province and used him mightily to preach the gospel, despite horrific opposition.
Culture of Honor by Danny Silk and Bill Johnson
The Culture of Honor is a book of reformation. It is intended to disrupt our current model of authority. Jesus put it like this in Matthew 20:25-26 But Jesus called them to Himself and said, You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. Those with power must learn to empower those around them or we will never build Heaven on the Earth.
